Overview:  Entry level facilities workers are the front-line for the overall operation of the physical grounds and buildings of Lake Gregory.

Essential Functions

1. Repair and maintenance of buildings, facilities, and property
2. Landscaping and groundskeeping
3. Safe operation of tractors and trucks 
4. Safe operation of various minor equipment and tools

Additional Functions

1. Assisting other departments when facilities-related needs arise:  moving furniture, ladder work, heavier lifting, etc.
2. Assisting with weather-related issues:  snow removal, water damage, roofing issues, etc.
3. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

1. Minimum of a high school diploma
2. Must be able to work some weekends and odd hours 
3. Current driver license
4. Excellent character as demonstrated by work values
5. Current CPR and First Aid certifications
6. Agreement with Lake Gregory mission-vision-values and 

compliance with employee handbook

Physical Demands

1. Ability to work outside in inclement/extreme weather conditions  (hot and cold)
2. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
3. Ability to stand for long periods of time
4. Abilities sufficient to carry out the essential functions of the job, including good balance

Minor repair on lake vehicles and equipment

Using mechanized tools and equipment

Using a backpack blower and/or push blower

Lifting and carrying:  materials and supplies, ladders, hoses, tools, equipment, boxes, bed frames, etc.

Walking and standing for long periods of time, walking backwards while carrying items

Roof work, tree work, working on scaffolding, at heights above 20 feet
